                  A NEW BEGINNING...

The sun in the morning is so golden,
In it the nature's beauty is never forgotten.
It's magical how each moment passes,
           As night falls,
           River flows,
          Trees tall,
          And the evening glows!!!

I sit in my small house,
By the window and peep outside,
Listening to the steady rhythm of my heartbeat,
Match with the little bird singing.

I feel the dew as I draw up my face,
To watch the golden ray surpass the clouds.
The dew drop touches my right cheek,
          As I try to trace;
How the night bid it's farewell....
Only to see a new beginning !!!!

Coffee Themed Card.

I'm a sucker for Tea & Coffee. <3

When it comes to Craft shopping and hauling, you'll find a variety of Cofee and Tea themed Stamps, dies, stencils and pattern papers in my stash. Here's one Card I created using all my supplies purchased from Letzcraft.

Supplies used :

@darkroom_door Stamp set named "Coffee Time"

Wink of Stella

@tim_holtz Distress inks . Shades : Vintage photo, tea dye, walnut stain and Rusty Hinge.

@letzcraft Cardstock.

Brustro watercolour paper.

Kaisercraft Pattern paper.

Before I start explaining the process, I want to take this opportunity and really appreciate the designer of the Darkroomdoor Company's Stamp set. Her name is Rachel Greig. What a phenomenal work of putting up a brilliant set. It's just perfect. I will definitely add a photo of the stamp set. From designing to packaging of the stamp set by the Darkroomdoor..... Everything is perfect. I'm excited to share the fact that Letzcraft ( a well-known Craft retail store in India) does sell Darkroomdoor Stamps and one can also preorder using this link:

Alright, So to begin with

I first took an A2 sized Smooth White Cardstock from Letzcraft and kept it aside.

I used Brustro Water color Paper and Cut it to 4"x 4". Distressed it with Tea dye Ink. And distressed the edges using Vintage Photo. I stamped (at random places), the Coffee Stain Stamp in the shade Walnut Stain ; a Distress Oxide. And did 2nd generation stamping of the coffee beans. Also stamped the sentiment using Black Archival Ink. And for the shimmer on top, used Wink of Stella.

On another sheet of Brustro I stamped the image of the cup and colored it using Distress inks in the shades Vintage photo and Rusty Hinge...... Again, on top of the filled-up coffee I added a shimmer using Wink of Stella.

The 4x4 piece I adhered to a Kaisercraft Pattern paper and distressed the edges with Vintage photo.

I also fussy cut the cup and placed it below. For the 4x4 Panel (Now layered on pattern paper), I stuck on the A2 sized Card-base using Foam Tape.

And for the cup, I had to double up the foam to give an extra boost to the raise and so that it sits properly on the left hand corner where it overlaps the 4x4 Panel.

I really enjoyed the whole process of Cardmaking. <3 . Hope you get Inspired. :)

Coffee + Rain themed Memory Dex Card.

I promise this is my Final Project for The Twisted Challenge July Month's theme : Coffee+Rains.

This time I have made a Memory Dex Card..... aka MDC ....  It's usually a 4"x 4" Card piece, shaped in a typical way which can be decorated in any themed and swapped. ;)

Okay, so now let's dive straight into the process on how I made this MDC.

I first took 2 enogreetings pattern paper, one is 1/8th inches smaller from all sides. made an MDC layout using my We R memory Keeper's Envelope punch board. you can watch the tutorial right here.

I also used Letzcraft Smooth white card-stock , Stamped a few images from the Andrea Gomoll's stamp set called " Coffee Queen" ( I love her stamp sets. I bet Indian Crafters are not much aware of her high quality, beautifully designed clear stamp sets!) .

Used my distress inks : Vintage photo, Rusty hinge, Spun Sugar, Milled Lavender, Fired brick to color the focal image.

Then, did fussy cutting with my new Tim Holtz 5" scissors (People definitely mean when they say Tim Holtz scissors cuts like butter :D)

A washi tape sometimes gives your project that extra love it needs from you. So when in doubt, add a washi tape!

If you look at the top left corner of Memory Dex card, You will notice a fun blue colored edged with Vintage photo distressed Cloud acting as a tab. I've stapled to add a lovely interest to the card. The clouds refer to the rain drops for which I've used Clear drops from letzcraft.

So coffee beans and clear drops are showering all over the card.

And now that I'm happy with the layout,

I decided to finally place my favorite coffee mug from Starbucks to click the perrrrfect picture..... or so I've tried :)

It seems difficult to do.... But once you get the hang of it, I'm sure you'll have a box full of all kinds of MDCs....... Listen, if you want to swap with me, Just message me on Facebook/Instagram.

Coffee ➕ Rain Themed Journal page layout .

[gallery ids="359,360" type="rectangular"]

Hey Friends.

There's a fun Journal page layout I would love to share with you all :)

As per the Twisted Challenges Contest Rule, we're allowed to make 3 projects for each theme that we participate in.

Here's my another project. If there's anywhere coffee and tea or coffee related projects going on, you'll find me there :D

If you're wondering the products I've used to make this particular layout, here's a list of supplies and process I've used.

Firstly ,I took an A5 sized Brustro 300gsm watercolour paper, used Broken China and Vintage Photo distress oxides to add colours to the page.

Then used a coffee layer cups die along with Letzcraft cardstock to get a lovely die cut. Of course, a die cut stands out once it gets drenched in distress inks. I've used vintage photo.

Secondly, I used Tim Holtz stencil called Dot Fade, a script stamp set from Kaisercraft purchased from Letzcraft .

Again stamped Penny black stamp set, coloured using distress inks..... Lastly added sentiments using Tim Holtz chit chat stickers.

Ooops I almost forgot, I used Heartfelt Creations stamp set to add a nice little border at the bottom. And just to add drops of rain, Used Fevicol drops randomly and sprinkled blue glitter of Itsybitsy.

Hope you're enjoying the most wanted day for everyone :Sunday, in the best way possible 💗.

Cards & Mails - Neha Bhatt

Hey Friends !

Let me tell you this, if you're a swapper,  you will nod your head in 100 % agreement that coming home from work to a happy mail is the best feeling in the world !!!!

Neha Bhatt ( known crafter and DT member of Letzcraft) is one of the finest, most humble and down to earth human being I've ever come across.

Being a swapper, I like ... sorry LOVE to collect different Craft projects made by other people. It makes me appreciate different creative styles and I get to learn a lot about the other person too through swapping.

So I saw one of the Coffee themed cards uploaded by Neha Bhatt and I instantly had to buy it !! (yes, I'm a beverage fan.... coffee tops the list!). Neha and I exchanged a good few fun texts and learnt a few things about each other the day I ordered for that particular card. :)

And when I came home from work yesterday evening, there laid a sweet enveloped package for me. I had smiles all over my face when I opened the package (wait till you see the pictures) ....... I marveled at how she remembered the fact that I love to read, how she figured I love to Journal everyday. Her gifts that accompanied the GORGEOUS Card made me feel super special.

That's why I decided to not contain my happiness and instead share it with you guys.

Hope you enjoy the work through the pictures I'm sharing .<3

Happy day everyone.

The Twisted Challenge #2 - Tea/Coffee and Rains!

I don't know what to say :) ..... I'm smiling, as the rains so heavy outside is making the living room window panes rattle ........  while I'm sipping on my hot cup of Coffee.

That's exactly why my excitement has doubled as the theme for the July month's challenge is all about Tea/coffee + Rains.

And that's precisely I did this afternoon. Make a card which is so close to my heart.

Let me take you through my simple journey of this particular cardmaking.

STEP 1:  I used an A2 sized card stock from Letzcraft as the base.

STEP 2: I also used 3.75" by 5.5" Cairo Cream card-stock single panel as a top layer.

STEP 3: Then using Itsybitsy Embossing Folder, I embossed Cairo Cream with the help of Sizzix Big Shot machine.

STEP 4: I stamped the coffee image inside the oval image. Coloured it suing Watercolour Pencils from Faber Castle.

STEP 5: Also the sentiment I stamped is from the Heartfelt Creations Stamp set. Ink used is Archival Jet black Ink.

STEP 6: Later I added raindrops using Blue color Glitter pen.

Step 7: Final step was to adhere the Cairo Cream panel down on to the base card. And added Glossy accents on just the heart of the cup. That's it. :)

I should now go and probably finish the little coffee left in my mug :)

My life in a year. 2017-2018

It's been ages since I last updated my blog post. In these 12 months a lot has changed. I don't feel the change. But when yesterday I sat down to write the things I have accomplished, the things I have changes about myself, a lot came up. I kept on writing in my journal uptil 4 pages.

So I thought I should at least share those few important changes here on my blog.

here it goes:

  • I have been doing yoga for almost 6 months now. And I'm super happy with my decision to Join Yoga.

  • Managed to make mixed media projects and actually did receive a lot of positive feedback for it. The most delightful milestone for me was when Julie Nutting herself and Prima Company (One of the top brands of the Craft Industry based in USA) left their positive feedback on my Creation.

  • I have joined a Retail Craft shop called Letzcraft and I get paid for my job as a group moderator. Thankfully I now can spend on my craft supplies.

  • With all determination I could possible muster, I have officially stopped using Earphones. Reason ? Well, I was plugging them in my ears almost everyday for long hours for music, watching YouTube videos, TV series on Amazon Prime .... and I knew it would damage my ears. Had to get rid of this habit. I am now watching with speakers on and No Headphones or Earphones.

  • In this beautiful Craft Journey, I have built a few very Good friends despite how different geographically we live in.

  • I have also started to save my earnings and invest. Yay! for that :D as I am a little spendthrift by nature.

There are also a few things I still need to Work on:

  • Solve the issue of PCOD

  • Help myself to learn how to prioritize my expenses.

  • Slow down more on swaps.

  • Do more Journaling.

  • Put up more Blog posts.

  • Read More of  Commerce related Magazines.

  • Start with Craft Classes and prepare myself for it by making proper Kits for each student.

So I guess this is it for the time being. I am just going with my gut, my past experiences and future expectations to get my self onto the path I want to go to, which is excel in Crafting Financially. Also my Second most important Step Would be to be able to solve PCOD.

I hope I do achieve those things, While my parents are going after Groom-Searching :D(more on that in future Blogs).

See you soon...

  • Jayana.
